Seeds: the seeds are rich in vitamin E and can be ground and mixed with flour or used as a supplement. Be sure to remove the hairs from the seeds. Leaves: after drying, the leaves can be used as a coffee or tea substitute. Petals: can be eaten both raw and cooked. Note that the underside of a petal can be very bitter, so it is better to remove it. In China, the petals are eaten as a vegetable and used to make strongly scented jam.
