Description

Leaves can be eaten both raw and cooked. Especially when they are not very young, they can have a slight bitterness and a slimy texture. They are a tasty addition to mixed salads. Unripe fruits can be eaten raw as soon as they are formed. They have an aromatic and unusual flavor that refreshes the mouth and leaves a pleasant scent on the breath.
