Description

The fruit of this plant can be eaten both raw and cooked, but it is very sour. Consuming large quantities of raw fruit can lead to stomach complaints. However, it can be used to make delicious jam with a slightly sour flavor. The fruit can also be dried and used as flour, mixed with grain. Each fruit has a diameter of about 7.5 mm and grows in large clusters, which makes harvesting easier. The leaves and flowers of this plant can be picked and used as a substitute for tea.
