Description

Fruits are suitable for eating raw, cooking, or processing into preserves. They are large, sweet, and have an excellent flavor. The fruits can grow up to 3 cm long. When they are fully ripe, they easily fall from the tree and are soft and juicy. The dried and ground fruits form a powder that can be used to make delicious treats with almonds and other nuts. Unripe fruits can cause stomach problems. Young shoots and sprouting leaves can be eaten both raw and cooked.
