The AgroForestDesigner QGIS integration now provides a much clearer and more useful view of your planting plan.

Every placed plant is exported as an individual QGIS feature with its own persistent inventory code, such as P1, P2, or P3. Plant records now include common and scientific names, cultivar information, forest-garden layer, crown diameter, height, and generation details.

The updated QGIS plugin also introduces:

  • A searchable Plant Inspector
  • Quick selection and zooming to individual plants
  • Clear plant labels with scale-dependent visibility
  • A configurable common-name language: Automatic, English, Dutch, French, or Scientific
  • OpenStreetMap basemap support
  • Automatic zooming to the planting-plan boundary
  • Web Mercator and WGS 84 display options
  • Improved layer organization and readable field names

Plant codes remain stable when the plan changes, making it easier to identify, inspect, document, and manage individual plants across AgroForestDesigner and QGIS.

The GeoPackage format has been updated to schema version 1.1 while retaining compatibility with the existing synchronization protocol. To access the new plant information, download a new GeoPackage and use AgroForestDesigner Sync plugin version 0.2.0 or later.
