Description

Fruit: Edible when raw or cooked. The fruits ripen in the middle of summer and are soft, juicy, and sweet, with a few small seeds in the core. The taste is somewhat similar to that of an apple. They are about the size of black currants and grow in small clusters. These fruits can be dried and used as raisins, or even to make pemmican. They are high in iron and copper.
