Description
Fruit - can be consumed raw or cooked. It has a firm and grainy texture. When fully ripe, they are crunchy and juicy in texture. They can be eaten fresh or used in fruit salads, pies, and pastries. The fruits grow up to 3 cm long, according to another report, up to 5 cm. Wild trees in the Himalayas produce an average of 83 kg per year, but some specimens can yield up to 200 kg. The fruits contain approximately 4.9% sugar, 3.2% protein, and 0.9% pectin.
