Description
The fruit of this plant can be eaten both raw and cooked and is suitable for making pies and jam due to its varying quality. The best specimens have a rich, sour taste and have a diameter of about 15 mm. The young shoots of this plant can also be eaten raw or cooked, similar to rhubarb. They are harvested in the spring and need to be peeled. Furthermore, tea can be made from the leaves and the bark of the root of this plant.
