Fruit - can be eaten raw or cooked. It is nice as a snack and can also be used in pies and jams. Carrot - can be cooked. It is important that the carrot is neither too young nor too old, as it requires a long cooking time. Young shoots - can be eaten raw or cooked, similar to asparagus. These are harvested in the spring when they just appear above the ground and are still tender. A herbal tea can be made from the dried leaves.
