Description
Seeds: cooked. The seeds are small but abundantly present, with 4 to 6 seeds per pod. They have a neutral flavor and are ideal for spicy dishes. As raw seeds, they have a mild, pea-like taste, but it is not recommended to eat them in large quantities. These seeds contain 12.4% fatty oil and up to 36% protein, making them a suitable source of food, especially as an emergency ration. This plant also has the potential to become an important crop in areas with a continental climate. Young leaves: cooked. These can be used as a vegetable.
